| The lime present in the running water damages your piping, appliances, valves, joints, water heaters and clogs your boiler changers and also the flushing blocks. As it is an excellent thermal insulator, it engenders significant additional energy costs for increasing and maintaining the temperature of the domestic hot water. The lime (or scale) is also responsible for significant over-consumption of washing products such as: detergents, beauty products, softeners, washing powders or water softeners products. |

 The softening by means of ion exchange resins is part of the procedures recognized by the Ministry of Health for treating waters intended to domestic use. Thus, in certain cities, hard water is subject to a partial resin-softening treatment before being distributed to the drinking water network. By means of the ion exchange, the water composition is changed. It replaces calcium and magnesium with sodium. Moreover, water softening is a preventive treatment as by avoiding the scaling of pipes and hot water tanks, it also offers protection against certain dreadful bacteria, such as the LD that finds an ideal refuge in scale. |
